Who we are
Benchmark Sports Technology Limited (“Benchmark”, “we”, “us”) runs this website and the Benchmark waitlist. We are registered in Northern Ireland (company number NI731572), and our registered office is 303 Loughmacrory Road, Carrickmore, County Tyrone, BT79 9BH.
We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it at info@benchmarksports.co.uk.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect your email address and your role, and, if you choose to give them, your first name and your club. We also record whether you ticked the box to receive Product news and updates, which sign-up button you used, and when you signed up.
When you visit the website our host, Vercel, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details so it can deliver the site and keep it secure. We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and only gives us aggregated figures such as pages viewed, referring sites, device type and country.
Only if you accept analytics cookies, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. Clarity records how you interact with pages (such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) and produces session recordings and heatmaps, along with device, browser and approximate location information. Clarity is not loaded at all unless you click Accept.
How we use your information
- To manage the waitlist, give you early access, and contact you about your place on the waitlist and the launch of Benchmark.
- To send you Product news and updates, but only if you ticked the box to receive them.
- To understand which clubs and roles are interested, so we can shape what we build.
- To see how the website is used, and to keep it secure and working well.
Our lawful bases
We rely on your consent for Product news and updates emails and for Microsoft Clarity. You can withdraw consent at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or choose “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.
We rely on our legitimate interests to run the waitlist and contact you about your place on it, to measure website traffic with cookieless analytics, and to keep the site secure.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under contract:
- Loops (loops.so): stores the waitlist and sends our emails.
- Vercel (vercel.com): hosts this website and provides Vercel Web Analytics.
- Microsoft (Clarity): website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
These providers are based in, or may process data in, the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where a provider is certified, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until launch plus 12 months, or until you unsubscribe, whichever is sooner. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
Vercel Web Analytics data is kept in aggregated form. Microsoft Clarity keeps recordings and heatmap data for a limited period set by Microsoft.
Cookies and similar technologies
We only use one essential item by default: a small record in your browser’s local storage that remembers your cookie choice. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies.
If you click Accept, Microsoft Clarity sets the following cookies. If you click Reject, or make no choice, none of them are set.

Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To make a request, email info@benchmarksports.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us.
Children
Benchmark is built for coaches and club officials. The waitlist is not intended for anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
